Keystone Donates $1,500 to the Community Youth & Women’s Alliance in Coatesville, PA
Coatesville, Pa., January 8, 2008 The Community Youth and Women’s Alliance in Coatesville, PA recently received a $1,500 donation from Keystone Helicopter in support of their shelter for women and children. The Center provides a number of services to the community including; drug and alcohol prevention, employment training, a family center teaching parenting skills, and youth services including tutors, after school homework club, day care, kid’s café serving hot meals and youth group programs.

enriches the lives of children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun, and empowering, in a safe and medically sound environment. Victory Junction is a year-round camp that serves children, ages 7 to 15, with a variety of health issues. During the summer they offer week long disease specific sessions with up to 125 kids per session. During the fall, winter and spring they offer family weekends with up to 32 families per weekend.

Keystone Donates $2,500 to Handi-Crafters
Keystone donated $2,500.00 to “A Tasting on the Brandywine” a fundraising event at the Brandywine River Museum on April 12, 2008. The event benefited Handi-Crafters in Thorndale. PA which provide programs for people with disabilities in Chester County. It is a non-profit corporation that was established in1961. They provide vocational rehabilitation, job preparation and placement services for people who have disabilities or face other barriers to becoming employed. They assist approximately 400 people each year and have in-house workshops and community work crews.

Keystone Donates $25,000 to the Sadsburyville Fire Company No. 1 for Their Fund Raising Drive for a New Engine
The Sadsburyville Fire Company No. 1, Chester County Station 31 in Sadsburyville, Pennsylvania received a $25,000 donation from Keystone Helicopter Corporation in support of their fund raising drive for a new pumper/tanker truck on April 17th. The donation reflects the company’s appreciation for the support the fire company gives Keystone as it continues to grow and launch more helicopters from its Coatesville, PA Heliplex. During the presentation, Keystone President Dave Ford noted, “This presentation is indicative of a new era in Keystone’s 50 plus year heritage – one in which we recognize that we are now one of the largest employer in our area.

Keystone Educates Students on Careers in Aviation
In May, Keystone focus was on educating students in local schools about Keystone and job skills needed for future jobs in aviation. The program included two on-site tours and a career day at a local middle school.
On May 9, John Norton, Director of Training began his tour of students from Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown, PA with a video history of Sikorsky and Keystone Helicopter. Next, the students walked through the facility with John as he reviewed in detail the potential opportunities and skills necessary for a career in aviation. John has also assisted in facilitating job shadowing opportunities in the engineering department for two of the students form Owens J. Roberts who are about to start their training at local engineering colleges after graduation.
